AQUAPORIN 1812 DWRO 150 GPD MEMBRANE
Aquaporin Inside® Drinking Water Reverse Osmosis (DWRO™) membranes are biomimetic elements that are inspired by aquaporin proteins to provide unique properties. These membranes can be easily integrated into any residential or commercial point-of-use reverse osmosis system in standard configurations.
The 150 GPD domestic reverse osmosis membrane is compatible with all types of conventional osmosis units equipped with a 1812 membrane holder. To guarantee optimal use, it is recommended to let 30 to 40 liters of water flow during the first use or replacement of the membrane in order to eliminate the preservative liquid.
It is also important to maintain an optimal water temperature of 25°C to preserve the membrane from any damage. The pressure required to activate the reverse osmosis must be greater than 2.5 bars, with an ideal pressure between 4 and 4.5 bars. If the water pressure is too low, the use of a booster pump is recommended.
To prolong the life of the membrane, it is advisable to flush the membrane monthly and replace the carbon and sediment cartridges every 5000-6000 liters of treated water or every 2 years. The membrane must be replaced every two years, except in the event of prolonged non-use.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use the membrane with an activated carbon pre-filter. Finally, to avoid any damage to the membrane, it is essential not to expose the osmosis unit to water that is too hot (more than 35°C) or too cold (less than 10°C).
