1/4 inch LLDPE polyethylene tubing is used for hot and cold water applications, beverage dispensing, household reverse osmosis, or pneumatic applications. Our tubes are made from FDA compliant materials and are NSF International Standard 51 & 61 certified. Our tubing offers excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking as measured by ASTM D-1693.
Important Information: LLDPE tubing is not recommended for mineral oils, gases and fuels or high pressure compressed air/pneumatic systems. LLDPE tubing is suitable for pneumatic applications providing a maximum pressure of 150 psi at 20°C. At high temperatures of 50°C+, mineral oil degrades LLDPE tubing and therefore should be checked periodically and replaced if necessary.
1/4 inch polyethylene food tubing is a type of tubing used for home reverse osmosis system, American fridges or purifiers. 1/4 inch LLDPE tubing is used to carry filtered water from the reverse osmosis system or beverage purifier to the faucet or other places in the home where water is needed. The tube is made from polyethylene, a material that is corrosion resistant and can withstand high temperatures and high pressures. The tube is also very flexible, making it easy to install in tight spaces.
