AQUAPORIN 1812 DWRO 100GPD MEMBRANE

Properties of the Aquaporin membrane

Aquaporin Inside® Drinking Water Reverse Osmosis (DWRO™) membrane elements are biomimetic products that derive their unique properties from their built-in aquaporin proteins, nature's water channels. Available in standard configurations, these membranes can easily be integrated into any residential or commercial point-of-use reverse osmosis system.

100 GPD domestic reverse osmosis membrane for all types of conventional osmosis units with 1812 membrane housing.

Usage tips :

For the first use of the reverse osmosis device and when replacing the membrane, it is advisable to let 30 to 40 liters of water produced run through in order to eliminate the membrane preservation liquid, before using the reverse osmosis water. . The osmosis unit always works with water at room temperature, at an optimum temperature of 25°C, and must never be exposed to water that is too hot (more than 35°C) or too cold (less than 10°C). ), as this could irreversibly damage the membrane.

The pressure needed to activate the reverse osmosis must be greater than 2.5 bars, the ideal pressure being 4 to 4.5 bars. If the tap flow is too low, the use of a booster pump is recommended. It is advisable to flush the membrane every month, disconnecting the pressure reducer, letting the water run for 20-25 minutes and reconnecting the pressure reducer.

Replacement of carbon and sediment cartridges is recommended every 3500-4000 liters of treated water or every 6 months. The membrane must be replaced every two years, except in the event of prolonged non-use, in which case it must be replaced immediately if it becomes dry. To avoid this, it is recommended to keep the membrane in a humid environment or in a preservation solution in the event of prolonged stoppage of use. Finally, it is important to use the membrane with an activated carbon pre-filter for optimal performance.

Benefits of the Aquaporin 100 GPD membrane:

  • Filtration efficiency: thanks to its biomimetic properties, the Aquaporin Inside® membrane is able to very effectively filter impurities and contaminants present in the water, including bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and chemicals .
  • Reduced energy consumption: The Aquaporin Inside® membrane requires less pressure for water filtration, which reduces the overall energy consumption of the water treatment system.
  • Increased Durability: Due to its biomimetic design, the Aquaporin Inside® membrane is more resistant to fouling and wear than traditional membranes used in water treatment systems.
  • Low maintenance: the Aquaporin Inside® membrane requires minimal maintenance, which reduces maintenance costs and frequency.
  • Adaptability: Aquaporin Inside® membrane elements are available in standard configurations and can easily be integrated into any conventional residential or commercial point-of-use reverse osmosis system.

Precautions for use:

  1. Discard permeate from first hour of use: Not to be used for drinking or preparing food.
  2. To prevent biological growth during prolonged shutdown periods, it is recommended that the membrane elements be immersed in a preservation solution.
  3. It should be stored dry in the room and at a temperature between 5-35°C / 41-95°F.
  4. It should not be stored in direct sunlight.
  5. Keep items wet at all times after initial wetting, even during extended downtime.
