What is a self-cleaning filter?

The self-cleaning filter is a filtration device used in sprinkler systems to remove unwanted particles from the water. Unlike traditional filters that require regular manual cleaning, the self-cleaning filter is able to clean itself semi-automatically, ensuring consistent flow and optimal performance.

• Self-cleaning filter cartridge maintenance

The self-cleaning filter uses a drain at the base of the bowl for semi-automatic cleaning to remove impurities from the filter. The cleaning process involves reversing the flow of water inside the filter, which removes trapped particles through the purge to a drain. When cleaning is complete, the filter returns to its original state and water flow is restored.
