The French carbon granules cartridge to treat the water before a domestic water softener or a reverse osmosis unit.

It is made from 100% coconut charcoal quality with the French ACS health standard that ensures traceability.

Activated carbon is used to capture harmful substances in drinking water containing chlorine, pesticide, insecticide. It is compatible with all filters sold-door, even in supermarkets, but we offer since it is within our ACS filter housing in 9 3/4 inch transparent.
In a reverse osmosis unit with 3 filter housing, the fact of adding carbon block filter, allows chlorine to retreat before the membrane 75 GPD, as in our double pack complete coal that we offer in our shop.
It is very effective against bad taste and residual odors after arrival processing of general water.

The activated carbon removes contaminants from the water by adsorption, and catalytic reduction is due to a process involving the attraction of the negative ions of the contaminants by the positively charged ions of carbon. Organic compounds are removed by adsorption and residual disinfectants such as chlorine and chloramines are removed by catalytic reduction.
It is advisable to put a 25 micron filter for a softener, so as not too quickly saturate your cartridge.

The cartridge is changed once a year.
